About us
We’ve worked on improving the lives of over 1000 widows and orphans.
Founded by Daniel Ntiranyibagira, Vomera Abandi Association is a Christian movement committed to serving widows, orphans, prisoners, and other vulnerable people across Burundi. Inspired by faith and compassion, we unite volunteers who share their time and resources to restore hope, dignity, and opportunity through practical acts of love.
What we do
We respond to the urgent needs of vulnerable communities by building homes for widows, supporting hospital patients with medical care and basic necessities, visiting prisoners with humanitarian assistance, clothing and feeding vulnerable families, and caring for orphaned children. Through every action, we seek to demonstrate God's love and bring lasting hope to those in need.
We built homes for widows
Many vulnerable widows live in unsafe huts that offer little protection from rain, wind, and cold. We identify those in greatest need and build them safe, decent homes, complete with essential household equipment, restoring dignity, security, and hope for them and their children.
We Care for Orphans
We support orphaned and vulnerable children by providing education, clothing, food, and a safe environment where they can grow with hope and dignity. We believe every child deserves the opportunity to build a better future.
We Support Hospital Patients
We assist vulnerable patients who cannot afford medical treatment by paying hospital bills, providing food, hygiene items, and offering encouragement during their recovery. Our goal is to ensure that poverty never prevents someone from receiving care.
We Reach the Forgotten
We visit prisons and vulnerable communities with food, clothing, and other essential support. Through humanitarian assistance and Christian compassion, we bring hope to people facing hardship and remind them that they are not forgotten.
